Thirteen Goals

I decided to start posting my Thursday Thirteens on Wednesdays because I post in the evenings and by the time I get to it on Thursday, many people have already made the rounds. I could get up & do it before work on Thursdays, but knowing me that ain't likely to happen.
Anyway, I haven't finished my list of 100 goals, but I thought I'd share 13 of the goals I have on my list. These are goals I want to achieve and haven't yet accomplished. Maybe in a future 13, I'll write about 13 things I've already accomplished.

  1. publish a book
  2. publish academically
  3. visit the Holy Lands
  4. learn to play the harp
  5. learn sign language
  6. ride in a hot air balloon
  7. see the eagles at Starved Rock
  8. visit all 50 states
  9. sell my handmade books
  10. fly 1st class
  11. learn to play Heart & Soul on the piano
  12. write a column
  13. learn to draw

Nancy--goals are wonderful; they keep us headed in the right direction. Yours are diverse and interesting. Good luck with them.

Cool list. And I agree with Kay about goals keeping us on the path.

Happy TT!

I love your list. It has me thinking about making my own list as I've been thinking negatively about myself lately--and this is such a hopeful, positive outlook. Just thinking about the goals and possibilities brings a smile to my face.

Thanks for this.

omg, sign language is so much fun. I studied it for a while through a community college that also emphasized classes in Deaf culture and politics and history - so fascinating and enjoyable!

There are a lot of Deaf blogs out there that give a good taste of the latter, but not a lot of good websites for learning ASL - I mean there are plenty of vocabulary sites, but I've found very little that teaches grammar. Which is kind of important! :)

I can't wait to hear about the goals you've accomplished! Ooo... inspiration for a future Thirteen of my own :-D I think mine is about accomplishing goals in a way, this week - the goals of having fun and discovering and exploring my own interests.

Nice list! Great goals, especially because a lot of them could be very doable!

I've flown first class once. I didn't pay for it, I got "upgraded" for free because the airline was overbooked and they took pity on me! It was wonderful!

Happy TT!

Sounds like some great goals! Oh...and flying first class -- very sweet! That's the only thing I've done on the list, and that's only because of a flight issue where they ended up bumping us up to first class. (It was a real blessing too, as we ended up having plane trouble and had to sit on the tarmac for THREE hours before leaving for a flight from Detroit to London. Thank goodness we had all that extra room!)

Good list. Write a little bit every day. Make yourself write even when you don't want to do so.

I always wanted to learn sign language, though I hope I never need to.

My TT is here.

Wonderful list. I've accomplished 1 and 11 (at least I can plunk it out) on your list. I hope you accomplish all of them.

Happy TT!

Love the list. What kind of harp? I've always been drawn to the celtic harp.

I recently finished Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber-- I love that in her book just the act of wishing changes people.
